Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), California residents have the right to opt-out of the "sale" or "sharing" of their personal information. This right applies to any transfer of personal information to third parties for monetary or other valuable consideration.

Current Status: EpicWrite does NOT sell or share your personal information with third parties for monetary consideration. However, we provide this opt-out mechanism to comply with CCPA requirements and give you full control over your data.

Right to Know: You can request what personal information we collect, use, disclose, and sell about you.
Right to Delete: You can request that we delete your personal information, subject to certain exceptions.

What We Do With Your Information

We DO:

Store your stories securely on AWS servers in the United States
Process content with AI (AWS Bedrock — secure, isolated cloud environment)
Use analytics to improve the product experience
Share necessary data with our payment processor (Stripe) for billing

We DO NOT:

Sell your stories or writing to anyone
Share your content with advertisers
Use your creative work to train AI models
Provide your personal information to data brokers
Share data with third parties for cross-context behavioral advertising

Submit Opt-Out Request

You can opt-out even without an account. Your preference will be stored based on your browser and device.

By clicking this button, you are exercising your right under CCPA to opt-out of the sale or sharing of your personal information. This request takes effect immediately.

Additional Information

Global Privacy Control (GPC): We automatically honor GPC browser signals as required by California law. If your browser sends a GPC signal, we treat it as a valid opt-out request. No additional action is needed on your part.

Authorized Agents: You may designate an authorized agent to submit an opt-out request on your behalf. The agent must provide proof of authorization.

Response Timeframe: We will acknowledge your request within 10 business days and complete it within 45 calendar days, as required by CCPA.
